How does a basketball regular season work?

Question by : How does a basketball regular season work?
Ugh. I know this is a dumb question, but I’ve never been interested and have loved football. But I want to learn how a basketball season works. Like, how many games there are, how you make it into the playoffs. Stupid question. I know. But I’ve never really cared till now.

Best answer:

Answer by Brian
There are usually 82 games in a season, but unless you’ve been living in a cave, you know that this year is shorter than usual. About 60 games. In basketball there are two conferences, each with 3 divisions. Win your division, get into the playoffs. In addition, there are more wildcard teams in basketball. 5 teams in each conference who were not division champions get into the playoffs as well as wildcards. 16 teams in total, and the first playoff series is a best of 5 (someone correct me if I’m wrong about that) and the rest are a best of seven series.

I am in need of a hardcore muscle building 6 pack making workout program?

Question by ummmmmmmmmmmm: I am in need of a hardcore muscle building 6 pack making workout program?
I have been dieting and running for about 6 months and have lost 14 pounds and got down to 12% body fat, my dilemma is now I need to start building some muscles. this workout needs to be intense and a struggle to complete. preferably a boxing program but open to all muscle programs.

Best answer:

Answer by Hardgainer
Good job getting to 12% body fat. There are many things you can do to get a great workout. But if you are interested in getting a six pack you may need to get a little bit lower on the body fat percentage, however it is still a good idea to build up some more muscle before shedding down to 8-10% body fat, where your ab muscles will show very nicely. Boxing workouts would help burn some calories and also work on your abs too. But you might want to consider doing a whole core strengthening routine for a little while to make your core solid.

I would avoid exercises such as crunches or sit-ups because they are very bad for your back. Really some of the best core exercise are hybrid training exercises like hitting a sledgehammer on a tire, tire flips, or like you said boxing; but my most favorite is using the Power Wheel. The Power Wheel will make your core completely solid, and the one that I bought came with a dvd instruction guide that was really informative, that showed you how to use it.

Here is a good training program you might want to take into consideration trying:

Is there any easy weight loss that does not involved work out?

Question by lordgiap: Is there any easy weight loss that does not involved work out?
I know work out is good for weight loss but I am a lazy person that do not like to move a lot.Is there any food, drink or pills that can help me out of this?I am very sad for my weight now.(158Kg)

Answer by Robeerto
Short answer: yes. Not so sure about the easy, though. I have a friend on Alli but basically it’s non-stop diarrhea and personally I don’t think that it would be worth doing that.

Try the half-portion diet. Load up your plate with whatever you’d normally eat. Then eat half. Just throw the other half away. Don’t just put half on your plate. There’s a real sense of accomplishment by throwing the other half away. You’ll be hungry the first few days or more but you’ll get used to it.

Q&A: is there a helmet that i can use for snow, and water sports?

Question by Richard H: is there a helmet that i can use for snow, and water sports?
i do a lot of board sports that require a helmet wakeboarding, kiteboarding, snowboarding, mountainboarding… i rarely ever wear a helmet when wakeboarding or kiteboarding, and a few concussions later i figure it might be a good investment, it is also about time to get a new snowboarding helmet. so im just wandering if you know of one that i could use for both.

Best answer:

Answer by Butters.like.no.other
sup

no. usually, snowboard helmets are built to insulate warmth, as they replace hats and beanies (unless you’re jed anderson)

You could take you’re average bern helmet or something like that and take out the snug-fit padding that wraps around your head for the proper fit, but you might still bake, as the ventilation holes and small and minimal. Obviously when youre in the cold, and you’re overheating, you dont want to make yourself freeze again. Also, these act as extra shock absorbers, so that may be a bad idea. one last thing is they mould to your head and a helmet doesnt, so the sizing may still be a problem.
just stuff to think about. Personally, if i had the experiences youve had, I would spend the money to get the proper helmet for both sports, but thats just me.

anyways
thats tight, im just getting into wakeboarding
keep it real man
and remember, have fun!
