they were shown during the closing ceremony of the Beijing Olympics. They are like metal spring things for your legs enabling you to jump really high and do flips.

It is not so much are we allowed we are many individual adults. Rather do we want to as the Bible teaches us to respect the life that Jehovah God has given us and not unneccesarily risk it just for thrill seeking.

Jehovah’s Witnesses are serious Christians who set themselves as mature to teach and to set the fine example for others. Though there is no scriptures that say parachuting, base jumping or other kinds of sport we should not do, it is the spirit of the Bible we carry with ourselves that we treat our lives with dignity and make ourselves holy for God. Our concern is not to get what we can from this world but to preach to others the real life in the new world or in other words when Satan who is ruler of this world (2 Cor 4:4) is at last destroyed along with all bad things.

(Leviticus 11:44) For I am Jehovah YOUR God; and YOU must sanctify yourselves and YOU must prove yourselves holy, because I am holy.

Question by : Should i get a PENTEX WG – 1 digital camera for extreme sports like skiing, mountain biking and hiking?
I’ve got a Nikon Coolpix S300 digital camera which is great to have slipped in a pocket or bag in town but not so good to have skiing, mountain biking and hiking. I have had a look at the camera and quiet like its features and specs. With christmas coming up i want to know weather it is worth putting on my christmas list and need to know sharpish.

I don’t have any first hand experience with this camera. That said I have owned Pentax products for a long time, and recently (11/2010) purchased a Pentax Kx a DSLR which performs as well as the most popular (on this site) Canons and Nikons.

Although I am a professional photographer, each camera has it’s strengths and weaknesses. So I place about 15% on camera reviews and the rest on either first hand knowledge (somebody I know) or customer reviews on both amazon and B&H photo.

What the f*ck? This is absolute torture for us! God sake! TNA, get it through your thick skulls – your UK fans are livid at you at times! I know it’s not on Friday (as it usually is) but this is insane, we have to wait another week just to see it? Ever since the start of the year, the TNA UK community have been angry with the way TNA are treating us with PPV rights and this new deal has started off terribly, we only got 2 1/2 hours of Destination X first time round and now not showing Sacrifice for a further week, TNA, get it straight!

Question by Trojan8408: Why are there not HS and College extreme sports teams?
I was wondering why there are not schools/colleges with extreme sports teams. They are relatively cheap, considering you don’t have to: 1.build stadiums/arenas for them, 2. a ton of expensive equipment, and 3. tons of offseason/summer programs to muscle up for the competition. Why would a TINY SMALL SCHOOL IN DIVISION 2 NOT DROP FOOTBALL/BASKETBALL/BASEBALL AND PICK UP SKATEBOARDING/BMX BIKES/ETC

Because they are “extreme” the insurance costs would be far too much for a school to want to pick up such a sport.
And since the history of extreme sports is so short, they haven’t had much of a huge national buzz to make it a sanctioned academic sport.
