Question by ALG: How to submit a Bill making it mandatory for a high school senior to take a self-defense class?
I know the process of submitting a bill; however, I do not know how to get my idea heard! I believe that every female should take a self-defense class before she graduates, and that it should be a mandatory curriculum. I think this should be universal……..no person should ever be a victim, they should know basic self-defense skills to prevent and get them out of a situation! How can I go about getting these types of classes mandatory? I truly think this type of class could make a difference!

That would be a BULLSH*T class. Would be a waste of money for the school and government to enforce that. If you want to learn…there’s plenty of small places that have self defense classes. All you have to do is pay for it yourself and go on your own time. Either on the weekend or evenings. It’s a good thing it’s not mandatory in schools because it would be a waste of valuable time and it would create even greater financial debt for public schools around the country.

I do not have enough money nor time to take formal karate lessons. Are there any online videos/tutorials/lessons that I will be able to learn from for free? I know that the videos you send me will be as instructional or effective as personal, face-to-face self-defense lessons.

I want to be a cop when I grow up and if someone shots at me what does God think about killing in self-defense. Because I know he says people shouldn’t murder but what does the bible say about killing in self-defense?

Did Jesus Christ kill in self defense?

Edit – Christ taught to turn the other cheek and he also said “blessed are the peace makers, for they shall be called the Sons of God”. Now, go ahead and thumb me down for what the bible said, and specifically what Christ said. He didn’t put up a fight when they were crucifying him, now did he? I do believe there are some truly ignorant people here.

So many people want to carry handguns for self defense, but if you shoot someone you’ll probably kill them. What happens after a gun carrying citizen shoots or kills someone in self defense? What happens if they do it a second time?

As long as you it’s a legal gun and you can PROVE it’s self defense you could kill a hundred people and never go to jail.

yes…….most likely…….sad to say but u actually get in less trouble if u use a gun to defend ureself……

** so get ur concealed carry permit strap up and pray u never have to use it….

I’m not athletic or very flexible, but I’m hoping to learn some self defense. Is there one that will be able to give me some skill in the art, but will not be too demanding in the beginning? I’ve heard that most forms of self-defense require a minimum level of fitness in the beginning.
Yes, I could carry a weapon, but that’s not always possible in case of a attack. For example, a lot of places don’t allow pepper spray.

in your case, i would just carry some pepper spray or a tazer.
